The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life

than the greatest of things without it.

 ABOUT ME

As a therapist, my intention is to hold a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can move away from what no longer serves them and towards their preferred life, relationships,

and way of being in the world.

After attending Pacifica Graduate Institute, I began seeing clients in 2010 and became a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in 2013. I've worked in the entertainment industry, for corporations,
and I am also a California licensed massage therapist.

Originally from Oklahoma, I've lived in Los Angeles for 20 years after trying out Dallas, New Orleans and Manhattan. All great places to live, but I love the sunshine.

Education

I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California.

At the core of Pacifica’s orientation are the concepts of depth psychology and the work of Carl Jung, James Hillman, Marion Woodman, and mythologist Joseph Campbell. An integral part of my education was training at Southern California Counseling Center in

Los Angeles. During my time at SCCC, I completed the Center’s two-year family therapy training program, gang awareness training, and group facilitation training. I counseled individual adults, teens, and children, as well as couples and families.

Group Work

In addition to working in session with families, my group work at the Center includes co-facilitating the process group for SCCC’s Counselor Certification Program, which trains laypeople in the practice of paraprofessional counseling skills, including those wishing to enter the SCCC paraprofessional counseling program. I also co-facilitated the weekly Teen Violence Prevention Group at SCCC, and the Teen Empowerment Group at The Children’s Institute.

Certifications

I feel it is essential to continue to grow and gain skills as a clinician and participate regularly in continuing education classes, as well as certifications for my core areas of practice.
